Bestaetigung der redaktionellen Richtlinien der Gazette du Weymarck
The Crown, acting under Article XVI of the Charter of Neutral Governance, reaffirms the editorial standards of the Gazette du Weymarck, the national press of the Kingdom. This reaffirmation restates the founding principles of the Gazette and confirms the continued prohibition of advertising and political campaigning.
The Gazette du Weymarck is the national press of the Kingdom. It publishes only verified government and scientific information. The Gazette is not a commercial publication. It does not accept revenue from advertising, sponsorship, or paid content of any kind.
Advertising in the Gazette du Weymarck is prohibited by royal decree. No commercial advertisement, product endorsement, or promotional content shall appear in the Gazette or in any publication, supplement, or digital channel operated under the Gazette's name.
Political campaigning in the Gazette du Weymarck is prohibited by royal decree. No political party, candidate, faction, or interest group may use the Gazette for the purpose of electoral advocacy, persuasion, or propaganda. The Gazette publishes official acts of the Crown, the Assembly of Estates, and the Crown Office. It does not publish opinion, commentary, or editorial endorsement.
All information published in the Gazette must be verified by the Crown Office of Fiduciary Affairs before release. Scientific information must originate from the University of Weystadt or from institutions recognised by the Crown. Government information must be authorised for release under Article XI of the Charter (Controlled Disclosure).
This reaffirmation applies to the Gazette du Weymarck in all formats: print, digital, and any future medium. It applies to the Amtsblatt des Koenigreichs Weymarck insofar as the Amtsblatt is published through the Gazette's channels. The Crown reserves the right to issue further directives on editorial standards as circumstances require.
This reaffirmation enters into force on 10 January 2024. The editorial standards restated herein have been in continuous effect since the adoption of the Charter of Neutral Governance on 3 May 1952.
